I haven't been here in quite a while, simply because I lost the "bug" after being satisfied with my 580s.
So anyways, I was in Phoenix airport waiting for my flight, and I see this electronics store. I got to the headphones section expecting to see some crapass sony-jvc-bose garbage, but lo and behold the entire wall is filled with Shure, UEs all the way up to the triple-fis, and Klipsch earbuds!
Unfortunately all of them were marked up severely, and most were out of my price range anyways, but I did find some Shure olives that I could definitely use. My iM716s hadn't been used for months simply for lack of sleeves that fit me well, so I jumped on the opportunity to get new foamies. After forcing them on the fat stalk of the iM716s I got to try them out...
Its like I forgot how good my old headphones sounded!
Hopefully this will lead to more head-fi for me after a nearly year long hiatus!
