As some of you know I returned my iAudio M3 because of faulty remotes, and I ordered a Rio Karma instead. See this thread.

No need for first impressions, this thing ownz

The sound from it is f%¤"%¤g insane.
I guess you should never exchange sound quality for looks, not that the M3 sounded bad, far from it, but the Karma is in a league of its own imo.

Enjoy the pics

Nice purchase, I was just recntly parted with my Karma, but I still love the players. Have you had a chance to play with the 5-band EQ?

good choice my man!

you know, i havn't seen that box before. the Karmas over here in the US come in a plastic "blister-pack" only.

The packaging is different from mine

Mine came in a cheap plastic un-re-usable container

LOL

Also your power supply is very different from mine...it is HUGE as a matter of fact...the one on the USA version is smaller?

Also I dont have all those fittings to use with the wall wart...

Things I love:

Heavy and sturdy dock (I hate flimsy docks)
Rio DJ (your own little DJ

)
5-Band Parametric EQ (Yes I've tried it and it's very good)
The GUI (VERY fast, easy to use and powerful)
The sound (god damn!

)

Edit:
The dock pulsating to the music, now that's crazy cool

Universal powersupply (perfect as I'm going over to the UK for the summer)

I love 'the penis song'

My english teacher presented it to us one day

edit:

crunchyfrog, did you no there's a danish label called Cruschy Frog? They have bands like Junior Senior and The Raveonettes (Though I think they might have moved to Sony.) Great label, great name.

I've had my eye on a Karma for a while, something a little less bulky to replace my Zen 2.0. but with the Karma2 on its way out I think I'm going to hold off a bit and maybe grab a K1 at reduced price.

Some tidbits about K2

-SD card expansion slot
-larger capacity
-color LCD screen
-pics of it show a silver body
-smaller menu system

And where exactly did you see pics of it?

I second that question, and I also wonder if it's going to be constructed of metal.

I hope you aren't thinking that the new Nitrus is the new Karma, unless you've seen other picture(s). Perhaps, though, if you've really seen it, they may follow a similar color scheme as they did on the upcoming Nitrus?
