and boy oh boy am i glad i did. Everything just sounds so great. Ive been enjoying my k340s for awhile now, and by recabling these, im enjoying them even more. I used 26awg litz braid mil spec silver plated copper wire and terminated it with a switchcraft 297 plug. The sound is truly astonishing. Everything just opened up for me. The cymbol crashes and higher frequencies opened up alot, the midrange stay about the same, just nice sweet ol mids, and the bass is tons deeper. I did the dual entry route, therefore bypassing the electronics and cable goes directly to the drivers. Although i may have to get rid of this techflex, as it is causing some microphonics when i move. Its a little annoying. Can anyone recommend me any good sleeving that reduces or eliminates all microphonics? Overall, im satisfied with my mods, may go with the blue tak mod next to see if i can get the bass even tighter. I will post pictures later.
