From what i recall from the re2's, they don't change as much during the burn in period.. But I would say you'll be more affected by mental burn in.

They go great with my sansa clip.

Get some good supra aural portables. IEMs have no soundstage to speak of.

Listen to music and enjoy. Try not thinking about the next step for now. A time will come when you will feel the urge more than ever, then you can think of what to do next.
