I just ordered the ATH-M50 headphones, I'm not really an audiophile, So i would appriceate some tips on how to improve the quality of my listening experience.

I will be streaming ALAC Files from a Macbook Pro, To a USB 2.0 Firewire cable, To A Yamahah Audiogram 3 Interface (Used For Recording & Listening), To the 1/4 Adapter on the M50's 

How could i improve my setup? should i upgrade to USB 3.0? Is My interface Sufficent for the headphones i'll be using?

Are you looking for the best sound you can get in your budget and the amount of experience you have with audio? If you are then you are an audiophile, don't think that you have to get high end equipment or have to have a lot of experience to be one.

For improving your setup, the m50s do very well with little power so an amp won't do all that much, but I might look into maybe getting a Fiio E17 and using it as a DAC and amp, they sound great together.

I have no experience with the Audiogram 3 so I cannot say one way or the other.
