Just occurred to me. V6s are not MDRV600?

I briefly held the 495 at a store, didn't listen though. My impression was that it was lighter than the V6. Don't quote me on that, though.

The 495's are very light weight compared to the V6's. I honestly dont feel them on my head when i'm wearing the 495's, so they are very comfortable too.

I haven't heard it, but someone (Eagle Driver I think) said that the 550 sounds worse then the KSC-35.

You aren't slamming Team Cheapie-Koss with that statement, I hope!

It wasn't me, but it's Gluegun who said the HP550 sounds worse than the KSC-35. But the HP550 still kicks a** for a $30 pair of closed-back headphones.

I use them with my MD player on the train and out anywhere, no they are not lightweight, but not extremely heavy either. Um, dont try to run with them, thats for sure, they may slip back..i doubt they would fall off your head unless they were loose on your head. I have a pair and love them, they sound very nice. Plus, they come with a pouch and they fold up so you can lug em around in the pouch (which closes with a string, like a laundry bag). Oh yea, i changed the stock pads with Beyerdynamic pads, from the model DT250-80 which can be ordered from Beyer via phone, make sure to ask for Velour pads!

George

ps. the stock pads are fine, i'm just a freak who followed the advice of other headfiers to make the V6's even more comfortable.
