I've got pair of JJ's and a pair of Amprex on the way.

Just popped open the Melos to do a little tube rolling. I tried a pair of JJ from Triode. Must have gotten a bad tube. Right channel was very, weak. I swapped the JJ's for some JAN's (Sylvania) and things were better. But the cool part was I noticed a small white sticker with a date and name on it. "Ted" "8/11/96". This is cool because my daughter's birthday is 8/11. 1994 not 1996, but cool anyway. I'm waiting for some Bugle Boys, Siemens and Amprex to come in.

JAN Sylvania tubes=HARSH. Not very, pleasant. Back to stock Sovteks. They don't sound bad at all. The Ety's work really good with this amp.
