Just how inferior is a JVC headphone jack to an amp?

Well, the headphone out on my Kenwood reciever (cheapy) is much better than the line out of my Chaintech AV710, but that sorta goes without saying, since at least the headphone out is amped in some way. I will give another comparison after I get the MINT I ordered either tomorrow or Friday and hook it up to the 710. Hopefully that will help fill out the sound a bit for my V6's and SR80s.
So yes, you should be fine for a while with the headphone out of the JVC, but just know, that a dedicated headphone amp will improve the sound. Whether or not it is dramatic or subtle depends on a great many things.
