And all I can really say right now is that they are awesomely sexy. I have to burn em in a bit and do some extended listening but I am digging the hell out of these. Better than the 650s? We will see later tonight.
still gets kinda peaky a little bit at higher volumes but other than thats its an amazing phone. This is what I craved when I had the 225s, I loved the forward sound but wanted something warmer and that extends more in both directions.
This is everything I ever thought it would be hehe. Im really happy so far. Pictures coming soon.
What is the "burn-in" time on these and what should I expect to "change"?

My experience with Grados is that they take about 300 hours to get rid of the top end harshness, then everything really evens out and sounds extremely smooth and airy. Enjoy.
Congrats on ur RS2, it used to be my dream phone but not anymore. I just got my ATH-W100 with W2002 pad (coming ) so I think I am content and wont' upgrade atleast for another 2-3 years or so
Let me know how u like ur RS2, some pics would be nice too.
You should do what I did...get a used w100 and a used rs-2. Then you have both your dream phones

Yeah I need to stop reading about headphones. I dont want any more pairs!
Well I have been listening to lots of music lately and pretty much everything I throw at it sounds pretty nice. For electronica, the 650s sound a bit better because they extend lower and they have a soundstage of sorts. Other than that, the RS2s are king in my book. I am definately very satisfied and the improvement over the 225s is quite noticeable. I notice that these are the warmest pair of Grados I have ever heard, but they still have the signature Grado sound that makes them great.
