Hey everyone,

The package from Headroom came today!

I'm now the owner of a pair of Sennheiser HD650's. I haven't even plugged them into my system yet, though. So I can't be asked about their quality. Yet....


Anyways, this is a question to all purchasers of HD650s. When you bought them, did the headphones and/or cords come wrapped up in any sort of plastic-wrap? Or are they merely laid down in that dark foam material? The reason I ask is b/c I want to make 100% sure that the cans I got were "new new" and not "as good as new". Flame me if you want, but I wanted totally new cans. Jamey at Headroom assured me that they are totally factory-fresh. I'm not distrusting him, at least I'm not trying to intentionally. I just want some other voices about this.

So, when you got your brand-new 650's, how were they packaged in the box?

Mine just came plain in the box with the cable tied up with one of those twisty things.

Haven't heard of that many HD650 owners returning there new toys, but FIW my HD600's came with only the twisty tie as well.

Well..with this being the concensus, I'm feeling better. Mine came exactly the same way. And I could tell they hadn't been worn before...

Because it had that unmistakable "new plastic" smell. Ahh.... the joys!
