I've been saving up and dreaming for a long time, and its taken me quite some time and money to get to this point....but as of yesterday I'm a proud owner of a motorcycle. I was very fortunate to get the exact bike in the exact color I wanted, and I just wanted to share my happiness with you guys. More pics to come soon! (it is a 2003 suzuki sv650s in copper)

Man, that is a nice bike. Thanks for sharing.

This post brings a lot of memories of my first bike a 1974 Yamaha RD250 a two stroke screamer that I drove all over Georgia while attending college. I could not find a pic of mine so the one enclosed is same except for color. Mine was white.

Have fun, enjoy riding it. As the commercial goes, I wanna ride.

mr. arroyo, my first brand New bike was the successor to yours.
A 1984 Yamaha RZ350, loved it to death, great fun to ride. like a buzzing bee (at 6000 rpms) going down the highway. I took mine all along the eastern shore up to ME.
(the crosswinds on bridges and over water were a handful to control)

I wish I had a friend like you. I could use a new ZX-10R.

Nice bike but dont you think a 650 is a little too big to start on?

Not really. That 650 rides a bit smaller than some other 650s.

i hope not. Its a v-twin engine not a 4 inline, so the powerband is a little tamer. This bike has 70 some horsepower while other I4 600cc bikes have 110-120hp. I took it out for its first ride this morning, felt great and not too bad to control.

I'd also like to extend a big thank you to the people who posted advice in my previous motorcycle threads, Especially Snake, if he's still around. Without you guys I would be riding something much bigger and unsuited for me.
