One word... AMAZING
I have tried the shure lines (E2c and E3c) but don't like them because of their rolled off highs and midrange hump (unnatural tonal balance to my ears). Returned them and went the ety route.
Just got it and I'm very happy with it. I use it with my ipod unamped. The highs are very clear and detailed but not harsh. Midrange is good and in line with others. The bass is tight, deep and well controlled. Overall, the tonal balance is very good, just wish that has a bit more warmth.
My overall experience is very positive. I am now an ety fan!!
P.S. I wonder how much better the 4s sound since I see a lot of praise about it here
