Now I just need to track one down. The one on eBay isn't for 1009F and so far sites I found have been out of stock. Maybe I will try to see what I can do with some hot glue and a nail file first. Thanks a lot!

Dunno, my old Garrard SP 25 Mk IV did use a similar slider arrangement, but similar is not the same as identical and it would be risky , might be worth a try if you really cannot find the exact part.
