I just received a custom made Kimber cable ordered from ebay.com for my HD650.It's a noticeable nice improvement and worth the cost I think. The bass is deeper / punchier, the soundstage is more defined and the treble is stronger. It does take the HD650 up a notch in sound quality.
 
I can only imagine how much better the sound will be when I get an amp - I'm using the Essence ST build in amp now.
 
If anyone is considering a new cable for their HD650, then I can definitely recommend it.
