Just got a little dot MKIII: first impressions vs dv332

I find the Tung Sol's to be too forward sounding, not enjoyable at all. GE 5 star's are very nice except they are too bright.

My favorite tube so far is a set of 6ak5w RCA's (black plates). Sound stage is bigger than stock and it has a nice punch.

thanks for all the suggestions =) i'll see how the tung sols go then decide if i need to try a different set of tubes.

RumpleForeSkin, i think an amp *might* solve distortion issues, i notice distortion that wasn't there with when using LD mkIII and DV332 with zero headamp with some tracks.

But it also could be that the recording itself is flawed, or the rip is flawed. Nevertheless i think its worth a shot since its relatively inexpensive, at its price you're gonna get ALOT of sound quality.
