Hi guys,
 
I lurked these forums for a few days to get an idea of what I wanted to buy for a set of over ear headphones. I bought some brand new Denon D600s for $220 today.
 
The only set of ear or headphones I ever bought for myself that I really liked were the Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 Extended Bass IEMs. I bought them for $250 (I think, it might have been $150), and I fell in love with them. They happened to break about two years after I bought them, and when I went to buy a second pair, I saw they were discontinued.
 
I have been looking all over for a set of HiFiMan HE500s, but I just couldn't wait long enough to find them at a price I was willing to wait. Maybe these Denon D600s will convince me to spend the money for the next level set I want.

You seem to like bass emphasized cans.  While the HD 500 has excellent bass (extended and present with body), it is presented in a neutral sound signature.
