Personally, I find it sound excellent but very different from Cowon's older player iaudio6.
iaudio6 have more punchy bass but the new iaudio9 excel in clarity and the instrumental seperation is way much better.
Here's my own EQ tweet I use for my Shure SE535...
It's a very good player, but it is colder than Sansa Fuze, it sounds better to me when using warmer earphones. I prefer, for example, using Silver Bullet or PR300 than Etymotic mc5 with it.
It will last around at least 8 hours with my 320kbs mp3.
Sound quality is top notch and the reason why I dun get Cowon J3 is because it is way too big to mount on my Pico amp.
are you guys amping directly from the headphone out? Is there some way of getting a LOD from the iaduio 9, or a setting that bypasses the opamps giving a cleaner signal for your pico's to amp?
right, so is the plug you have it in a direct line out, or is that the headphone plug and you need to adjust the settings somehow in the firmware to bypass the headphone out? I'm trying to get a get idea of whether or not this thing has a line out, im assuming given your response that it does, -- just curious how it works.
