Oh, hmm based on that diagram all three are line outs, so go with the green port would be my first inclination.

Anyone else have that card?

Dave

I thought the green one was headphone out?

Just for your edification, your x-fi soundcard has a built in DAC on it. So in your chain your using the dac on the x-fi to produce the analog signal then amping it with the penguin to your headphones. Of course you can use it as a desktop only amp. You should expect big gains over your bose when using good quality content.
Make sure you use the line out of the x-fi and not the headphone out.

Ofcourse the X-FI has a built-in dac. It's a soundcard, lol. Problem lies in the amplification. The dac on the card decodes the digital signal to analogue which then gets amped on the card in some sort of circuit. So, what your dedicated amp is doing is amplifying a pretty crappy analogue signal. That's why people opt for a better dac.

BTW, I think it's the green one. It should be the same on my card and I believe I'm using the green one.
