I borrowed a bunch of old CD's from a friend and listening to them right now, the first thing that struck me is how bad the sound of some of the recordings are.
Most of the CD's are fairly old and compilations which are Best of Artist works. Doesn't sound like they remastered the songs and oh some tracks just sound awful.
Right now I'm listening to Boston - Greatest Hits and I must say I've heard 160 kbps mp3's that sound better than this CD, my god is the sound ever awful.
Over the years I've noticed you can buy CD's that have a "Nice Price" logo on them. Usually you can pick these CD's up for $6 Cdn. or so and again they're compilations of an artists best songs and I bought one once. Ugh the sound was terrible, what's with compilations, is there some unwritten rule that the sound must be bad?
