I've been looking for some recommendations on the above mentioned genre. I only have 2 cds which are both by Pendulum. If any one could recommend anything I'd appreciate it greatly.

Pendulum are pretty awesome.

Here's some more:

Light/Fun
DJ Fresh
High Contrast
Kosheen
Logistics
Noisia

Dark/Hard
Black Sun Empire
Dieselboy

Also check out the CD The Secret Art of Science. Really good DnB compilation.

edit: Oh, see you're also after some jungle and breakbeat. Well then also look into:

Four Tet
Meat Beat Manifesto
The Prodigy - Experience
Sasha
Tipper
Venetian Snares

I saw that thread actually, but it was about electronica as a whole, not certain sub genres.

If you're enjoying the darker, harder side of drum and bass (eg. DieselBoy)then I would recommend checking out anything on Renegade Hardware (or their sister label - Barcode) . Both also do excellent compilation CDs that can lead you onto discovering other artists; and it'll give you a good idea of some of the varying styles that can be found within the harder end of D n' B.

Artist: Goldie

Album: Timeless

Do not start a drum and bass collection without this masterpiece.

Also give Roni Size a try too.

Hope you enjoy.

Noisia are simply stunning and i listen to their stuff constantly, and i also recommend cyantific.

Roni size is a legend too, with brown paper bag being one of my favourite ever tracks, especially are seeing a live version on later with jools holland.

Aphrodite are a bit jungly for me.

Picked up a Darkcore compilation and I'm listening to it now, theres some good stuff, I just need to go back and find the band names. One band I didn't care for was Mescalium United, might have just been the songs though.

SPOR

for a proper introduction to what dark dnb should sound like. anything from violence recordings or lifted music is the way to go. i do agree with alot of the other recommendations too but these are the peak.

I'm using ATH-A900s and the music is amazing =o.

I just finished listening to Roni Size - New Forms, it was pretty good not extremely hard/fast but still good. I also got Goldie's Timeless and I don't like it so much, I need to get past the first 2 songs, but the vocal turns me off a bit. I found some Spor but it was only 1 or 2 songs and not in a CD form, is this how all his work is and can you point me to a place to buy his stuff, amazon came up with nothing.
