How do I know batteries need changing? Instructions say 'static or distortion', but I'm not sure precisely what to look for. I've been on this set for ~15 hours or so now. (Duracells)

Is degradation in high-end speed and detail a sign that I need a battery change? I've not noticed volume droppoffs or the need to turn the knob up higher.

Thanks,

Alleria

Before any static or distortion, it will start sounding very thin with a gradual but dramatic loss of the low end. Then it will start to sound static-y and very rough sounding. Usually out of one channel first, then the other. Quite unlistenable.

Alleria---

with NiMH rechargeable (roughly) 9vs (Rat Shack & Accucharge) I get 8-10 hrs of good sound from my CHA47. With a regular 9v, I got roughly 12-15 hrs. Your mileage may vary...
