What are the obvious reasons to get rid of Kennertons? Everybody says they are legit.Well I had an original xtc and xtc-c 1.5. I gave the XTC to my brother in law as a gift and decided that I wanted to go all in on my favorite closed back (Kennerton Rognir planar) and so I sold the 1.5.
Well with all the goings on in Russia I decided having Kennerton (I had 2) was not a good idea for various obvious reasons. I sold both of my Kennertons. It was obvious what to get to replace them though. Ordered the 2.5 and will wait for the new upcoming upgrades in October.
I will pair the Austrian Audio Composer with the 2.5 for a decent combo. I am very much into 2 channel and just dont need more than this. I like the idea of my main rig (read the signature as it is too much to type out LOL) being able to power both to the max and also being able to capably use my Cayin N8ii with both as well.
Tuning I am undecided. I had the warm but detailed but it wasnt quite crispy clear enough for me….but the mid bass was the best I ever heard….which made them wonderful for most of my music. So do I go for the same tuning which is really good for most of my music….or do I go for a little bit more detail but lose some of what I loved best about the XTC-C…. Ah decisions decisions.
The situation in Russia…. Bad news if it needs servicing. Kennerton is legit btw. What are the obvious reasons to get rid of Kennertons? Everybody says they are legit.
100%. Fantastic headphones. One of the biggest surprises I had this year! I can't wait to get my XTC on order though! Hoping to hear one at CanJam.What are the obvious reasons to get rid of Kennertons? Everybody says they are legit.
The war? Odd reason to get rid of great headphones from a great company that has nothing to do with it's government. I've always wished there were more reviews of Kennertons end game headphones. The situation in Russia…. Bad news if it needs servicing. Kennerton is legit btw.
The war is a huge reason to be wary of having a product that if you need support you're in trouble. I don't think it's odd at all I think it only makes sense. If you notice the classified listings it takes a lot longer to sell a Kennerton and they don't bring back what they used to specifically because of that war I'm sure. The war? Also I've had to return Kennerton to Russia for service in the past. Even without a war that was a risky procedure lol.The war? I own the Thror NovelHas anyone heard the Thror?
Why you want to sell it?Hey guys, I'm planning to sell my XTC2's (which I got from John in April of this year), and I figured I'd offer them to the group before posting in the classifieds section.
Here are the deets:
Brazillian blackwood
64 ohm beryllium
"Warm Defined Tight Bass with Defined Detail" tuning
Two upgraded cables: one 6.35mm copperhead and one XLR copperhead cable
A bunchhhhh of pads - including the new "Extra Thick Angled Leather" ones
PM me if interested!
Yep exactly this! The situation in Russia…. Bad news if it needs servicing. Kennerton is legit btw.
I understand.Honestly I only have good things to say about my XTC2's.
If I had to sum them up in a few words it would be - tight articulate bass and an incredible spatial presentation.
BUT
Unfortunately my household is just too noisy for open backs, so I've been spending much more time with my IEM's lately for the added isolation.
...A pair of XTC2.5's (close backs) are likely in my future at some point!
