Hi all,

Having built this http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/7696/huey2wf7.jpg

I now need to build a preamp with source selector and volume. I dont need any additional gain.

Trying to do this on a budget so i am thinking about canabilizing my Soha + jisbos.

Here is my plan,

Remove Soha Main board.
Build cheapish +/-15 v supply using 7815 + neg version.
Build a simple relay selector circuit
Buy a a remote control kit from Diyaudio forums, or ebay)

Selector switch in > Pot > jisbos > selector out (headphones or lineout)

Anyone see any issues, or any better ways of achieving this?
By canabalizing i can use the exisiting hifi2000 case, use exisiting torriod, sell the Soha board, sell the amperex PQ white label (awesome tube).

I dont need any gain as the amp is sensitive enough, and i want it transparent as possible. and i wont have enough room in the case for everythign with the Soha. I also dont really need a headphone socket in it, i use a bijou for that duty.

I could just go passive, but i do feel i loose a bit of sparkle with passive.
