Well I'm planned to get new JH13 or maybe the JH16 and also the new source

I want to find the good source to match these custom. The HF 801 is out of my cost range. The S:Flo2/AMP3/X/Zune HD/S9/Fuze/Clip/Clip+ is in my price range but I cannot choose one. I really concern about the sound quality and the power of these players. For example, if I get the Clip+ or Fuze for the JH16^8-drivers custom.. Erhhh... Do I need to get the amp?? Is there enough power to drive these custom?

I really need some help here, I just don't know what to get

I tried Jh13 with Cowons, Clip, Iphone, each of them have enough power for them.

its not about power but synergy.

my UM3X sounds bad through my sansa clip but sounds great with ipod touch 1G.

I've heard the 13's pair well with the Fuze and FLAC files. I have the Fuze and am waiting on the 16's. I will probably listen to the 16's with the iPhone 3G though as I hate to have to carry around 2 devices when one does it all. I commute on my bike 40 miles a day so while 2 devices is not a lot, it is when trying to ride a bike and fiddle with them )

If you want the - in my opinion - best portable player/dac combination, you should have a look at iRiver H120/140 -> optical -> iBasso D10. I use this combination with my JH13 and I love the sound.

Clip+/Fuze or s:flow2/T51 gets my vote. The s:flo2 has more power and might give them the much needed oomph in power that the Clip might not provide. (I have both and the clip could use a little extra power in driving the UM3Xs.)
