I will be ordering some JH-13 V2 this week for portable player use only. These will be used for exercising and just listening to music through my portable players. I see they now have 4 and 7 pin cables (My old set has just 2 pin cables).

Is there an advantage to either one? Is one geared more towards on-stage hookups or something else. I realize the the 7 will be almost twice the thickness also.
