It shows an amazing amount of restraint and proffessionalism that he can stay straightfaced, you can hear the studio erupt in laughter, and he's apologizing.
I saw this when it happened. What a scream. The question is WHY this slip-up occured. I'm thinking that it's got something to do with the sorts of discussions that were going on around the newsroom when J-Lo came up.
I'm thinking of Dick Armey's "Barney Fag" slip-up about a gay congressman, for example. Or, on a more personal note, slipping up and calling someone "Hooters" whose last name was Hooper. I'm thinking that J-Lo and B.J. were discussed in tandem.
