Can those far more educated than me shed some light on this comparison? I currently have an Emotiva XDA-1 as a dac for my desktop feeding my Dynaudio BM5A's powered monitors. Since the XDA-1 is lacking a headphone amp I want to upgrade to a quality dac and headphone amp. I was headed down the JDS Labs ODAC+O2 custom combo road but then Emotiva has been dropping their price on the DC-1 making them both now comparable for me. I currently do not have any nice cans but I will in  the future. I have compared their specs and the seem very evenly matched. The Emo definitely has some extra features though with inputs and such. I know Emo makes a quality dac but I don't know about the headphone amp specifically. Any thoughts or opinions on these two is appreciated.

Thanks

I used to have the ODAC and O2 (separates, not combo). I know have the Audio-GD NFB-11 which is comparable in price to the Emotiva DC-1. I highly recommend it.
