JDS O2 blew an op-amp (pic inside). Question regarding replacement.

I got out of the shower and smelled the oh so familiar smell of burning electronics in my apartment.  After some blood hounding, I traced the smell to my JDS O2 headphone amp.  When I picked it up, it was hot to the touch.  I opened it up and found this:
 

 
 
I ordered some new NJM4556AD op-amps from mouser.com and I was just going to put in a new one.  How likely is it that this caused damage to the other components of the amplifier?  Everything else looks fine, visually, but I am a bit concerned that something bigger is going on here...

I didn't build it myself.  I bought it from JDS Labs.  I think I am going to email them and see if there is any additional troubleshooting I need to do.

That is an unusual thing to happen to a JDSlabs O2 amp for sure.  I recommend you contact John at JDSlabs before trying to replace the opamp.  He is a great guy to deal with and the customer service is really excellent at JDSlabs.  Best of luck.

As of right now, I am looking into finding a new amp.  Most likely a used Schiit Asgard 2.

I don't think so.  I won't have much use for it, honestly.

From what I have been told, it is because my HE-400's were doubling the output current specifications of the op-amps.  I bought a used Schiit Asgard 2 off of eBay to replace it.
 
John from JDS kindly replied to my email and said that I should replace both op-amps at the same time and monitor the temperature of the amp for a few minutes before connecting headphones to it.  Other than that, it should be fine.
