I myself have never tried out jbl headphones, or even tried out much headphones for that matter. I'm thinking about buying jbl Reference 410. Has anyone ever tried these? What do you think about the company itself?

I think JBL makes great mid-fi speakers for the money and for the most part focuses on the right stuff: SQ and solidity. Then again I'm a bit biased, I have a few of their speakers.

JBL makes some of the best monitors for use in the worst rooms, with room mode correction.

i dont think id buy their headphones though.

Pass on them, I have a pair basically just the AKG 27i with a padded headband. They have a very muffled sound, the drivers sound better without the closed back.

If you don't mind drilling out the back of the cans they make nice open headphones.
