My AKG 702 had a bit of a mishap, its gone to be fixed but that will take a long time.

Till then i want to get a cheap alternative with a similar lower range if possible and on the cheap would be good.

I have short listed the headphones according to availability in the local store.:-

JBL 410 aka AKG k26P
HD 202 and HD 212 pro

I had HD202's long time back and found them quite bang of the buck but dont really know how they compare to 702's also. My friend had a 212 and did not really like the price hike it as compared to my 202's.

The JBL 410 are in a sealed box so cant really listen to it and i also know low end AKG"S are really not loved here

So which one gets your vote??

Are you limiting your selection to those three?

What's the most you're willing to spend?

What will you be plugging these headphones into?

I've owned several Senns but not those. My JBL410 (currently without mods) still sounds good from a HotAudio USB DAC (and a cheap RCA receiver). I'd buy it again before considering a similarly priced Senn.
