Has anyone had a chance to listen to both the JBL LSR305 and either Q100 or Q300 from KEF? How do they compare in tonality (bass, mids, treble), imaging/soundstage, detail/clarity, and smoothness?
I know the LSR305 are active studio monitors intended for music production/mixing. Most people, for enjoyment of music, prefer a bit more bass and smoother treble than what a typical studio monitor provides. Would you consider the LSR305 to be great for musical enjoyment?
I generally do not enjoy a strictly flat frequency response. I tend to find it a bit boring. It usually lacks bass/warmth and treble sparkle I prefer for musical bliss.
