Well, I've been looking for this information, since the NA are $25~30 and the Japanese import are around $75 USD.
 
I contacted the main seller on amazon and he said this:

S400 is a 30mm driver. The s500 is a 50mm driver. Both use the "carbon nannotubes" The s400 is the same no matter where u buy it. There is a very long thread on both models. Look it up.
