I was looking on J&R's selection of Koss headphones when I noticed that the PortaPro2's were $19.99 while the PortaPro's were $39.99.

I thought the PortaPro2's sounded better than the PortaPro? It's half the price!? It states that these have a 20.00 discount off of "list" price. Is this the normal price for these headphones?

The Portapro2 was a cost-reduced design with no head size adjustment, IIRC.

I believe the portaPro, portaPro2, KSC35, SportPro, and KSC50 all use the same drivers. So the difference in sound is related to the pressure on the ears.

The other response is exactly right, the portaPro2 is just the same headphone, without the firmness adjustment and the driver housing is black instead o blue.
