I have totally abandoned iTunes as a music library provider. However, I still have iPod Classics and iPod Touches. So how do I put music on my Apple devices?
1. I attach my ipods and open iTunes with no music files or an itunes library.
2, In itunes I select the ipod I want to add files to and select "Music" in the "on my devise section".
3. I open Jriver (my music library provider) and select a playlist of the tunes I want to add.
4. I then select all the tuness individually in the playlist and drag them to the itunes window, waiting for the green button to appear, then click mouse or track pad.
Guess what...... It really works. No more itunes crashes from large libraries with over 200k songs!!!!!!!
