This is pissing me off. I'm using the LAME encoder (Mac) and all of the sudden it's not tagging my songs correctly, and when I go in and change the tags, the songs aren't in the correct order (the tags for song order appear to be correct). So, on my ipod, the songs aren't in the correct order. I've probably ripped about 700 CDs and never had a problem. Does anybody know what's going on?

[EDIT]--OK, I figured it out. The year was on some of the songs but not others for some reason. But I'm still wondering why LAME is freaking out all of the sudden.

I couldn't stand all the tagging, so I rockboxed my ipod and got rid of the fracking itunes. Now I copy-paste folders and play the files. No more messing.

I generally like tagging, when it works. Rockbox is way beyond my technological capability (couldn't figure out how to get my apple formatted ipod to work, so I gave up).
