I just found out something I thought I should share. I was preparing for my Roku and testing slim server software. I noticed it says in the fixes they found iTunes uses a hidden tag for AIFF files that it can use too. The reason this is important is it allows iTunes to retrieve that file even if you move it to another drive and re-upload the tagging. I kept losing my WAV file tags when I moved them around and even tried to edit the iTunes database but it caused it to fail. You can just convert the WAV to AIFF using iTunes. It will play the file on the pc and ipod. If you look up the file in Windows it does not show the tag info. I'm not sure where itunes hides it.
