The problem I have is that the update installer program runs and I get NO errors but I end up with NO application. So I have broken itunes again and can't get it back. Even the older version 5 won't re-install. XP Service Pack 2 installed. What's the secret????

You, too, huh? iTunes 6 messed up something in my Windows XP sp2, and now my wireless LCD panel is all acting weird. iTunes refuses to actually play any of my apple lossless tracks. Uninstalling iTunes 6 does not help.

Thank God I use Foobar for main music listening.

BTW, can you upload the older iTunes version somewhere I can download from? I would like to try installing an older verison and see if THAT works in my setup.

Uninstall version 5 first, then install 6.0.1.
Should work!
