Honestly, I don't know much about the technical aspects of USB and jitter. I do know that when I had a modded Transit, it was quiet, transparent and had incredible timing. Although was hooked directly into a modded Monarchy DIP Upsampler, many others have had positive experiences when moving to a USB to SPDIF converter.

I know a lot of you have the technical ability to get a Transit and mod it. You should try it, especially if you have an outboard DAC.
