Hello all, as some of you know, I'm a prog-nut. I love me some progressive rock. Stuff like Yes's 'Close to The Edge" and "Fragile", and Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and "Animals" being some of my favorites. Well, after a almost a year and a half of being in the audio gig, ive amassed, 80Gb of music, or about 1.5k songs. Ive got complete discographies from Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Rush, and Iron Maiden, to name a few. But I feel I must keep growing.
Lately as High School Honor's Band and work and slowly been taking over my life, ive had less and less time to listen to music. But I still make sure to listen to an album before drifting into sleep. And that pretty much eliminates the heavier stuff like Iron Maiden or Ozzy. So I'm looking to "expand into more peaceful, calmer music, like smoother Jazz and female vocal features. The prog cab stay, in fact, any more suggestions to go along with my previously stared favorites is very welcome. But id like to grow my softer collection of music so hit me up with your best female vocals, your best Jazz, whatever. I'm open to pretty much whatever.
A few guidelines;
1. Has to sound good. Mastering has to be of good quality (were audiophiles after all!)
2. Cant be too simple. I like 'smart people music' (not to sound like a snob), cant be the crap that's being put on the radio.
And that's about it! Give me your best suggestions
