I currently have the philips X2s and jvc sz2000 with an ifi ican se amp

What I want is a set of headphones with more/deeper bass than the X2s but a better sq of mids and highs than the Sz2000s you know something in the middle of the two. Any suggestions? Also I will use eq if needed so maybe something that responds well when eqed

What is your budget?

I'm guessing open and closed are both on the table?

I told you a month ago to avoid the SZ2000 and grab the V-Moda M-100.

I just said it again.

Th-x00. This is a top10 (5?) hardest hitting headphone. Its priced fairly and after doing the Lawton stage one tune up, the treble was tamed without sacrificing anything.

Ok I ordered the m100 new for $150 after the guy accepted my offer

The sz2000s are great for what they are but after half hour i feel they might be causing brain damage lol

The bass is stupid on the SZ2000,but the rest of the sound is the worst Ive ever heard.

You should message DiscoProJoe,or look him up on YouTube..he has spent a ton of time creating EQ presets for his M-100.

Ive heard them myself and it was truly a skull slamming experience with decent highs and mids too.

If you can stretch your budget, try the Fostex TH900. Bass is quite comparable to the SZ2000 (losing out slightly on sub-bass). However the mids and treble is much more open as compared to the SZ2000

Alternatively, use an EQ and boost the upper mids and treble of the SZ2000 and you can save yourself some money!
