It's been two years since I had ER-4P's - have they changed in design, at all?

I am currently listening to my ER-6i's and man happy wih thier sound, but I know the 4P's outclass them. I hd a set of ER-4P's a couple years ago, but both stems eventually cracked mostly due to filter filter changes. This was necessitated by an ongoing earwax problem. I am satisfied that excessive earwax is a body chemistry flaw, just as tarter/plaque build-up on teeth is for the same reason.

Has ER fixed the weak stem design on these IEM's? I dearly miss the sound quality and tranparency of these phones, and would entertain geting a new set, but only if this issue has been addressed.

The warranty had expired, sadly. I did pay to get both transducers replaced, then promptly sold them, seemed to be a money pit. The stems are made of cheap plastic.
