So I'm running a 727 and a pair of 507's and I'm in the middle of upgrading my DAC. Well my existing DAC sold faster than I thought it would and my Musette wont be here for a week so its Y cable time.
Wow. I forgot how bad motherboard audio was. I don't even know where to start... actually I know exactly where to start. Did you know that it's possible to have hiss at a reasonable volume level? I had forgotten. honestly. I had just made a joke about it too. I didn't think modern computer audio would hiss.
Clarity. I was going to say something about the bass being loose but Its kind of like saying the your tv is on fire when the whole house is burning down.
Soundstage. Heh.
So here's the topic when was the last time by choice or by necessity you took your killer setup and crippled it with a terrible component... like my motherboard audio and what did you hear or miss?
