I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it's necessary to be cautious of fakes on Ebay with the D2000's? I've been seeing some really good prices there and I'm close to pulling the trigger for a set using buy it now. I did some searching, but can't seem to pull any pertinent info about this.....

Thanks in advance for any help.

I bought my D5000s off eBay at a ridiculously cheap price, I think if you keep an eye out and watch for deals, for some brands you can get legit stuff heavily discounted.

Cool, thanks. So far it looks like my best option. They go so fast here in the FS section, and they don't go for much less than a new pair on Ebay.

You can get a lot of legit stuff off ebay for dirt cheap prices. An example is of my HD600's. I bought a used one for $215 then I found a new one a few months later for around $160, and I jumped on it. The catch was that it didn't have the box.

You have to keep an eye out.

I bought some DT990's last week from a seller for $199 and they were new also.

Sorry to thread jack...

No prob. I wound up ordering the D2000's from Headroom. They have them on sale for $299 now. Not bad. Not too much more than the deals I was seeing on Ebay, and for the difference I'm glad to have the support of a trusted vendor like Headroom. I was hoping to get a pair for more like $200, used from the FS section here, but again, they go sooooo fast here (hopefully for good reason).
