Issue: The Schiit Bifrost is not coming up in the sound output selection in OSX.

What seems to work:
-When restarted in Windows via boot camp, the Schiit Bifrost both comes up in the sound output and works.
-In OSX, when I look at my -ioreg -p IOUSB or system_profiler SPUSBDataType, the "Schiit USB Interface" is detected and shows up.

What I've tried:
-Using different USB-C to USB-B cables, adapaters, and a powered USB-hub
-Works on a 2014 macbook running el-capitan (current macbook is on sierra)
-I've contacted Schiit and they do not have a solution for this problem.

I was wondering if anyone who might be more tech savvy may have something that I'm completely missing.

Since it seems to work in bootcamp it seems to be an apple issue.Have you tried taking it to the Apple Store.

I think it might be a Sierra problem. I have read some things that has screwed with audio one of the main reasons I haven't upgraded.

Why not use the optical connection from your Macbook Pro or don't tell me Apple sabotaged that too with their 2016 models.

it is gone! they got rid of it since it apparently was messing up the headphone jack when it malfunctioned.
