Hi. I’m using Tidal Hifi (not mqa) on a Pixel 5 and a Galaxy S22 (Exynos). I have some different dacs (Audiolab mdac, Earstudio es100 mk2, Hifime Sabre 9018, and Earman tr-amp.)

When moving from one dac to another I usually run into some issues. Sometimes the music plays at the wrong speed and pitch. Sometimes the phone or tidal doesn’t recognize the dac.

Restarting phone solves it. But I shouldn’t have to restart. On an iPhone I don’t have to.

Anyone else experiencing the same? Does anyone know of a fix?

I've had these issues with different dacs.

When your dacs are not identified, are they powered on, just not seen?

Have you uninstalled the Tidal app and reinstalled it?

If you try the HiBy Music app and give exclusive access, does it play without issue?
