Hey All,
I have an Abit IC7-G mobo that is on its last legs and I'd really like to splurge and buy a new mobo to go in with that I have currently:
Intel P2.4Ghz
Seagate 120GB SATA (first gen, two of em)
ATI 9700 videocard
Echo miaMIDI
1.5GB of PC3200 ram (kingston)
Plextor 716SA (serial ATA) burner
Sony DRU510 burner
That's about it. I want a good mobo that can still work with this rig. I'm willing to spend $150-$200 if the mobo proves to be very upgradeable (ie. new P4 proc in the future, DDR2 ram in the future, you get the idea). I was seriously considering switching to an AMD rig in the future, but what the hell, I hardly play games as it is. I'd also like a slew of sata ports, PCI-E ports and naturally an AGP port for the radeon. Not sure if the latest batch of mobo's are backward compatible with lesser gear.
Thanks for any rec's
