Hi guys, i bought kef q300 speakers from ebay recently, and im just suspicious about this speaker. I bought it for 500 dollars which is 150 dollars cheaper than any sellers so i checked the corners or fingerprints just to be sure everthing is factory sealed condition like the seller said. Everything looks good except one thing. Theres is subwoofer hole on the speaker and when i checked inside with flashlight there is some kind of foam inside and i dont think this should be here. Can you tell me what this is? I cant even connect my speaker to amp or dac because its arriving next week. Thank you.''

Yes, the foam is for damping. Any speaker has damping material inside. Its for absorbing the reflections of the bass inside the enclosure. That hole is tuned to a certain frequency.
