just saw this on ebay,but this grado rs1 shown on the pic has a little different than others. there are white plastic thing between wire and headphones on both side.. i never heard there is fake rs1 on the market. should i beware of this one? or it is allright. thx.

I believed that's not fake, just and older RS-1.
And also, there's no point for making fake RS-1 as it will be expensive to make.

Look real to me. Those white things look like small tiewraps. Probably added by the owner. This is a wear point on Grado hps. If the cable were flat and stretched, it would be no doubt.

I don't think it's fake. Those white things were prolly added by the owner and it's usually not profitable to produce fakes of expensive products because the market for them is too small.

Not fake, just very dark wood. Those clips probably added by the owner, to keep the cord from making tension inside the cup.

Hah! That's what I was thinking. It's too bad the lettering is a bit smudged as that's some of the prettiest wood I've seen on a grado.
