Well, here is a question for all the techies more than the audiophiles, really. But I imagine that in this section of the forums, most users are techies anyway.

Here goes my idea, let me know if this is feasible:

I have an old iRiver h320. It has a USB connection for transferring music to and from the pc.

Is there a way to mod this player so that the music is streamed THROUGH the USB, and thereby connect it to, let's say, an external DAC that uses a USB connection?

What would the point of this be, you ask? Well, it beats building a pc for the task! The player's screen would act as the monitor. In short, the whole setup would be a little jukebox!

Just wondering if this can be done in any way...
