It just means you're decisive! Way to go, I'll be weeks or months picking out and actually purchasing my new headphones. Damn carbon fiber bike keeps calling my name! Nasty diversions just won't leave me alone.

Take it easy boys and girls. We have to keep it about the music first! Nice cans let you enjoy the music, not the other way around!

Been on this site for maybe three weeks. It started with the PowerMac G5 and iPod 10GB . . . .

then had to get the PX200s to go with it, which I soon thereafter destroyed . . .

then, to save money, (but in reality to try something new), got the PX100s (even had the audacity to tell my soon-to-be-traveling-to-Europe wife that they were a gift to her (oh the lengths guys will go to cover their tracks)

now that wife is absent, just placed order for DT880s and Corda HA-1 Mk. II

in short order, am contemplating some Grado 225s

I am in need of professional help.

Seriously.

I'm also in the same kind of situation as you. I recently got into the head-fi forums a month or so ago and so far I've purchased:

HD-600's- $200~
Audiophile 24/96 Soundcard- $150~
PPA (being built by my brother)- $400~
And soon I'm going to buy the cardas cables for hd-600- $150

So thats about 1000$ including odds and ends... doh.

The NS500V is all you need if you're going SACD.

I would rather spend $2,000 on a bunch of audiophile SACDs as opposed to buying an audiophile CDP for my recordings, the vast majority of which are not top notch (but some come close).

I feel humbled by the wallets of my fellow head-fiers.

Yeah, all you need to do is drop a grand on a source, $300 on some interconnects and you're there...

Unfortunately upgrading my source isn't going to cost a grand - more like 5 grand, after doing so you'll probably find me lying on one of the benches in central park with my rig a doggy bag and a sign saying "NEED MONEY TO UPGRADE HEAD-AMP"
